Beat That Samba band.

We play a range of percussion instruments and a mix of traditional Afro-Brazilian

grooves, some true to the original, some arranged and devised by our

musical director, Erin Scrutton.

We play festivals and events all over Scotland and abroad.

We've led parades through the streets of Barcelona, Dublin and

Stirling.

Beat That can add colour and dynamism to any festival, event,

fete, private party or public event.

Beat That is one of the longest-running women's samba bands in Scotland.  ...

"It all began with a drumming workshop held to mark

International Women's Day

in March 1992.

The women were hooked, and

              Beat That was born".
